Located at the heart of the city of Baguio just a few steps away from Session Road and SM City Baguio is a hotel that exudes rusticity and sophistication! The edgy exterior is a great contrast to its clean and curvy interior; featuring reclaimed wood and artifacts from the Cordilleras this hotel represents Baguio and it's neighboring provinces from The Cordilleras.
I first visited this place back in April 2018 and fell in love with its dim lit interior; we tried their restaurant after watching a movie and the ambiance was just soothing to the eyes! Fast forward to June 2018 when we spoke to the owner to do a Photo shoot for my friend's clothing store - Keziah Clothing Shop; they were so accommodating and offered one of their rooms for us to use.
Fast forward again to 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, when I decided to add this to my must visit hotels and restaurants in Baguio City, using hashtags like #ExploreBaguio and #EatsploreBaguio this series of videos gained a number of followers - locals and tourists, all eager to visit and try out some of the tourist destinations in the City.
So today we are featuring G1 Lodge, it's peculiar exterior will definitely catch your attention and once you walk inside, it feels like you're in a different country, I must say. The wooden interior reflects a modern log cabin and its dim lit corridors give off a more intimate mood.
The butterfly room was one of my favorites, I like how the bed is slightly elevated, to give space for storage to maximize the room and the bathroom had great contrast with its pearl white and ston-ish black design.
All rooms are equipped with smart TVs and you can enjoy Netflix or browse your favorite vloggers on YouTube.
One of their new additions to their rooms is the Whale Room, as oppose to the other rooms, this has a bright and rustic interior, adapting the reformed wood found in the lobby. The marble flooring, uneven ceiling and wooden floored balcony adds to the whole ambiance of the room and its so relaxing.
Offering a variety of menu items, G kitchen explores both local and western dishes bringing you flavors from east to west. Back in 2018 I had a taste of their Fully Loaded Nachos and Crispy palabok, which I keep coming back too and their drinks are prepared very well by their baristas.
Transporting you back to 2020 let me show you how they remodeled their menu from reinvented traditional dishes to a modern menu that caters to not just individuals but for groups too! I still hope they bring back their Crispy Palabok and Fully Loaded Nachos though :D.
From Kiniing Burgers to Salted Egg Wings and now their Pizzas, G Kitchen is stepping up their game to excite your taste buds. I, honestly haven't had wings this good in Baguio and thankfully G Kitchen gives you flavored wings bursting with flavor!

They're adding new things to their menu here and there but one thing's for sure their wings is something you shouldn't miss! Pair it up with the G Spaghetti or the Salted Egg pasta, if you can't get enough of that salted egg flavor. The latest addition to their menu is the G Pizza, an oval shaped pizza that can serve 3-4 people! Sounds exciting? If you're not a fan of dining it you're gonna miss their cozy restaurant, however they also deliver so you can enjoy their delicious dishes at the comforts of your own home.
Overall, a visit at G1 Lodge is something I look forward to whenever I come home to Baguio whether it's staying at one of their rooms or just a visit to G Kitchen or Raincoat Coffee, I make it a point to visit and recommend this place!
